About

The places we’ve been and the places we live shape us as much as we shape them. I’ve come to this business along a winding path.

My earliest work experience was mowing lawns–steady summer work through jr. high and high school. Not long after that, I enjoyed grounds keeping for golf courses. The quiet of the early mornings on a remote green, the barn swallows swooping alongside the reel mower to catch bugs from the clippings–these were experiences I came to treasure.

I studied music and theology in college and graduate school, and have spent many years teaching and performing. Along the way I had opportunities to work on large maintenance and landscaping crews, as a groundskeeper for a fastidious English gardener, as professional grower in the hydroponics industry, to study as a Master Gardener, and, more recently, to learn the craft of guitar building.

Working with my hands and mind has been a lifelong pursuit. I count it a privilege to build, fix, maintain, nurture, and learn. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you!
